  3. This application is used to resize the RAM disc
  4. while not empty, and requires a hard disc (or a
  5. network)
  6.  
  7. Double click on the icon,  and it will transfer 
  8. files to the scrap directory. It then stops and
  9. asks how much free space is required,  rounding
  10. up and adding overheads (usually about 4K).  It
  11. then resets the RAM disc and replaces the files
  12. previously contained therein.
  13. The resizing is sometimes slightly innaccurate,
  14. especially at small sizes,  because of the code
  15. in Acorn's MemAlloc module, but this should not
  16. be a problem.

  18. However, it is fairly reliable, more than other
  19. rivals,  due to the way it transfers files into
  20. Scrap, not into the memory.  This can be slower
  21. if your hard disc is not very fast.

  27. WARNING:  although fairly reliable, do *not*
  28.           transfer valuable data that you do
  29.           not have duplicate copies of;  use
  30.           it only as a time-saving utility
